I hope it's not "bad karma" to share but a friend of mine heading to the Himalayas is going to place this prayer flag for me. It sent goosebumps all over me.

Stahlbro,

I thought it was. Everyone in my family asked me if that was my stand (I sent the pic out as if it were). The pic isn't mine, not sure where it originates, someone sent it to me.

I'd rather see a bear as opposed to a poacher; which is more common in these parts and they sometimes defend their intrusion with their gun. No bear would do that...

Susan, mighty nice to get your prayer flag carried to those heights.

When Mom & Dad realized that I had never gambled in a casino before, they rushed me to Black Hawk/Central City.

That's good parenting.

Was sent on a secret mission last week, with not much to go on, other than "Meet JB at Zuma -- MIA"

A bit of googleing led me to a restaurant called Zuma in the Brickell neighborhood in Miami. I wasn't sure whether I'd totally blown the assignment, but MIA is the code for Miami's airport, and since Zuma was a restaurant, and I was hungry...

But after filling my face (and soaking up a couple of carafes of sake), I realized I should maybe check out my surroundings. Was the mysterious "JB" one of the wait staff? Would s/he show up on the pathway beside the deck I was pigging out on? Was it one of the other diners? I checked the view from the deck.

But wait... Forget the buildings across the water. Forget the diners clinking glasses and silverware around me. What was that... that thing... right in front of me.

Hiding behind a palm tree was...

And with a sudden "SNAP!!!!" everything became clear. "JB" could be none other that James Bond. And of course it was crucial that I meet him. So I leaped off the restaurant deck and was about to leap up onto the deck of the yacht when I realized...

Damn. That thing is rocking!

Yeah. Right. James Bond may spend part of his time doing secret-agent sh#t, but what he's really known for is... Well, yeah, that was probably what was rocking the boat. So I let it be, and connected with him the next day.
