If you want the "first" free lead and to change the name, you're welcome to do either. I'm not climbing enough to worry about such things, although it's a route I'd enjoy repeating.
It would be a major fluke if any of these "firsts" were really first. My point isn't to claim one, but to let folks know about another pitch as good as any in an area they probably visit already and share my memory of someone that left us way to early. If I was on it first, then I think it's a riot whether I "sent" or not, although sending would have been nice too.

That crack looks sweet! Even if another FAist turns up to claim it, though really does sound odd no one has yet, what a wonderful post, and suggested route name w/backstory! Great job on, if not the FA, the first recorded FA!
