Nice one! Yeah, shin injuries hurt. They're the only injuries that produce bile for me.
Glad it's not broken.

I had an employee once manage to get his thumb tangled up in one of those driving a ground rod. He eventually recovered fully.

Only Workman's comp claim I ever had.

Heal up fast Cragman. That looks painful :(

If it makes you feel any better, when I was out at June Lake a few weeks ago a certain local dude you might know told me about how he once stuck more than an inch of a monopoint crampon frontpoint into his calf by accident.

My eyes bugged out when he told me about this. Apparently he didn't go to the doctor, just washed it out real good and then super-glued it shut ! He said it was sore for some time (!)

oh Cragman, feelin' your pain. that animatiion from cosmic bites hard just to watch.
hope it heals fast, and clean

you might need to be patient, though, with the bone bruise...I had one o' them--self inflicted when pulling on some gear & my elbow smashed into top of the ice axe holstered to my harness--took years to stop aching. hope yours does better than that.

feel better!
