Roger, This is an era of shrinking expectations. Or maybe I'm just confusing the times around us with our personal trajectories, soon to be rounding third and heading for home.

Anyway, speaking for my own cosmic horizon, there's this Ditch see, and as familiar as a lifetime has made it, I can't wait to get there again.

Hi Doug,

There are probably a 1000 places to see in the Ditch for the likes of us. Others are satisfied with seeing it once (999 to go).

Partly this is tied to its beauty and grandeur, but I think the main reason is that we can create something of our selves there. For all the wonderful things I have seen in the world, full of beauty and grandeur, there are none that that have draw me so close or offered such promise in a return visit as Yosemite.
