Even if so (which it isn't)..it's immaterial to the issue.

Of course it is, Ski.

BTW, when Attacked, the rules change. At least FDR thought so.

I doubt that had anything to do with FDRs thinking on the detention, and regardless it is immaterial what his thinking was..he was dead wrong.

As is anyone who thinks registering the Muslims in this nation is a good idea.

Apparently the rest of the Country at the time did not think so, Ski.

BTW, never heard anything about any of Ally Nations taking in any German Refugees during the war in Europe. None.

Have you?

And from what I understand about history during that era, Russia didn't even bother taking too many prisoners and certainly did not allow any potential German/Nazi collaborators in as refugees. All Nazi's that lived were instantly sent to a Gulag.

I hope so too spectre but based on his lack of reaction to the issue I'm beginning to think he knew exactly what he was answering or we wants some people to believe he said it. Either way is really bad.

Apparently the rest of the Country at the time did not think so, Ski.

Which is the whole point of my post.. sometimes even America does really evil sh#t and the public approves..

SO I am here shouting loudly against it or even the possibility of it.

REPORTER: Would you go to mosques and sign these people up into the system?

TRUMP: Different places. You sign 'em up at different -

come on.. how could you say/believe that he was still talking about a wall once he said this statement? what does sign them up have to do with a wall? Nothing of course. He knew exactly what was asked.

He will pretend ignorance, but it will be code to the far right.

…..

My problem with Trump is he keeps the spotlight off the other candidates, helping the poor ones to hide and keeping the better ones from having a chance, thus causing us to end up with someone like Jeb.

And of course your "feelings" will not change if and when ISIS does their dirty deeds here in the US. All of course from "Home Grown" Muslim entities as was the case in France.

Right SKI.

I don't believe climb ski would want to do something like chip muslims or register them if we are attacked here in America by ISIS.

I know that I wouldn't. and I believe that others wouldn't want to.

But it is disturbing how many can loose their mind. Such as how many were pro war after 9/11 and voted for the Iraq war. I protested that war. I also didn't believe that we should have gone into afghanistan. I thought we should have bombed the heck out of their camps, and mostly leave it at that.

Not on this issue it won't change one bit...

I do expect that Daesh is attempting/planning an attack as we sit here posting ...and I also would not be surprised if they succeed. A register of muslims wouldn't do a damn thing to stop it. Infact it almost certainly would help make it happen.

This is an open society which comes with certain risks.. risks acceptable to a land of the brave and free.

Is America still even a shadow of that ideal?

Even if a direct family member god forbid was a victim of their deeds, John M?

And you John M... same case scenario?

I lost one of my dearest friends in 9/11. Darren Bohan.. Love that guy and still miss him.

Going into Afghanistan did not make us safer, and going into Iraq made things worse.

Some things are worth dying for... certainly worth risking ones life for at least....Life and liberty being on that list.

One cannot claim to be for these defining American ideals if one is so afraid that they destroy those ideals instead of face even a very slight risk of death.

In a very real way anyone who wishes to so utterly destroy those ideals with a registration like this at best terribly confused as to what Freedom is and what it costs or at worst a pathetic coward.

....Well.... worst actually is traitor..a person bent on tyranny and using security as an excuse to institute it. An age old political strategy.

Nearly 1 million American servicemen and women have died ...supposedly to protect our freedom..Lets not insult their sacrifice by allowing the destruction of those freedoms at our own hand

I heard the raw tapes today and this is a completely made up story by NBC.

With Trump's supporters it will only increase their loyalty and just further erodes any credibility the MSM has with anyone that isn't viewing this whole thing thru rabid partisan glasses.

Trump is a big government crony mercantilist/populist, not by any stretch of the imagination a conservative.

Ain't my guy, but this brouhaha reflects more on the reporter, NBC and the nattering nabobs than it does him.

And removing Gaddafi from Libya since those supposed gross mistakes have made us safer and was justified, John M?

TNT, as usual, you are wrong. He clearly knew he was responding to a question about a data base. The reporter asked if it would be at mosques and he said yes, there and other places.

Fear mongering is the bread and butter of the right. Works every time. That's why Trump is doing it, he knows his audience.

Sooner or later, he will go down in flames. I, for one, will celebrate.

don't know enough about gaddafi.

But you do know all about the Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and Hussein.... got it.

Oh, you must know that since Obama/Hildabeast got rid of Gaddafi, Libya is now in ISIS control and one of their major strongholds in North Africa.
