Three weeks post total knee joint replacement. I am walking almost normally, able to go up and down stairs and generally feeling pretty good. I still have very limited endurance some weakness and instability that will be rectified in time, by my physical therapy. I won't pull any punches: just let me say that the first 2 1/2 weeks were very painful but I seem to be over the hump with the pain.I'm almost sleeping through the night, getting up once or twice and generally feeling pretty good. My orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kanna had told me that during the first 2 to 3 weeks I would feel like it was the biggest mistake of my life and regret getting the procedure done, but that sometime after the third-fourth week I would start to feel much much better and wonder why I waited so long to get it done. Well, I feel like I'm finally there!!!!!

Pen and I wish you all the best. Hope you recover fully and are able to crank again. Tahquitz, the last time we checked, was still here, waiting.

Holy crap Tony, that photo looks like you may have Kneezels!!! Best have the doc look into that. Too late to get yer money back?
Edit, I'm not a internet doctor although I do drink booze and type simultaneously and I consider this an unpaid skill of great importance which few emulate.

Good job.... no pain no gain.
you will find the nice big scar on your knee, will be quite the conversation starter in the gym with the ladies..... make sure to keep THAT x-ray handy so you can show em what you got going.
see you out and about.

I have a close friend who got both knees replaced, and he went back to downhill skiing within several months; he is in his 70's
