Seven revs of the sun for my (runty, somewhat feminine in appearance) pooch. Just out of a six week cast stint. He is channeling the Ammon right now, rolling scree fields on 3.25 legs...
Older and wiser though, no tangles with the porkies this go 'round
Slack is lucky to have your care Larry.

Let sleeping dogs lie.

I don't know how many staples are in her neck. I count 11 here.

She had a cervical ventral slot decompression surgery Friday-before-last, and the vet went in through her throat to get at her spine.

My challenge now is to find a way to keep her calm for a few weeks.

eKat: would you believe he showed up at my house sick and starving (one year ago)? It just so happened we had room for one more dog and he has been a tremendous addition to the family.

Lucas and I got suckered into working trailwork on a rainy day.
(For those who may not have seen my thread about Lucas, I adopted him two weeks ago)

Loss is a weird facet of life. Funny how death really affects the living the most. Sorry for the sad anniversary Seagoat

Not even five weeks ago, I was looking for a good place in the yard to bury my Doberman. She couldn't walk twenty feet. She couldn't crap without falling in it.

Now, she's back running on the beach.

Spinal decompression surgery cleaned a ruptured disc in her neck, and today is Day One of a trip up the coast we didn't think would happen.
