How's the Cometa Halley holding up?
That looks like a BIG DAMN JOB OF WORK!!!!
Have fun. Love your pics of rocks/JP/weeds/lichen.
You may need to turn up the cowbell a bit by shooting some bovines.
Or if it rains, more mud.

rocker Tom Petty died last year from "multisystem organ failure" caused by accidental drug toxicity, the Los Angeles County coroner said Friday.
An autopsy found that Petty had several drugs in his system, including fentanyl, oxycodone, temazepam, alprazolam, citalopram, acetylfentanyl and despropionyl fentanyl, the agency said.

Mixed Up over Las Vegas at Thirty Five Thousand Feet
My Dreams are all unfinished
My Dreams have become a philosophy
The philosophy of random chaos
Random memories from another life
And what went wrong in the election
The election of a drunken dream-master
And discussions on injustice
The injustice of war
The injustice of poverty
The injustice of racism, and classism,
and sexism
My dreams are unfinished
And never what I thought they’d be
Random artificial intelligences
Taking over my mind
Taking what they think rightfully
Isn’t rightfully missing
Blind, thoughtless, biased,
and hypocritical
My dreams remain unfinished
A work of discordance and entropy
Never returning to the places
Where I started
Where I want to be
With what I started out with
Just the natural state of confusion
That’s how things ought to be
In the reflection of reality
Where I thought I had stored my mind
Until that rainy day
When my memory no longer serves me

Second Season In the Valley
back up a bit brother
I never said I knew him
he died before I began living
the life
the camping
the climbs day after day
the cold-ass nights
and the hot hot days
no he lived his life
before I began mine
he was legend
before he died
but I never knew him
I knew his partner
his second
his boyhood pal
like mine
we had lived together
camped together
climbed together
endured cold-ass nights together
and hot hot days together
then separated
not by death
but by the need
to vary our experience
broaden our knowledge
learn more of the rest of the world
and it was nothing like
when the guy died
and his pard was left
in the lurch
no I never met the guy
the stuff of my dreams
though the stuff of my life
was not the stuff of my death

Jan 20, 2018 - 12:23am PT
When you've just sent out invitations to your 85th birthday:
Notice of Intent to Celebrate
The City of Bishop and outlying regions are hereby forewarned that all friends, passive enemies, relatives, ex-employees, and those perpetually in need are invited to:
Don Lauria’s 85th Birthday Party
We held the 50th birthday party at the Catholic church’s Parish Hall on December 11, 1982, the 60th birthday party at Charles Brown Auditorium in December 1992, the 70th birthday party at Whiskey Creek Restaurant in December 2002, the 80th birthday party at Mill Creek Station in January 2013,
after which the “every ten years” plan was changed to the “every 5 years” plan and now the 85th is happening … and for obvious reasons all future parties will be held annually … I’ll try to be there.
WHEN: Saturday, January 27th, beginning about 6 PM
WHERE: Mill Creek Station
WHAT: Potluck, byob, climbing audio-visuals, good times
WHY: Why not?
RSVP: don@bardini.org, 760-873-8036
You are free to ask anyone else that might like to attend. In your RSVP let me know how many of your invitees plan to attend.

Second free concert this week. Tonight was Art Hop and the MAC featured a band called G Street Revolution. There were other musical gigs at other Art Stops. I heard one, a solo singer at Lens 360.
But I met up with Laurie again at the MAC and we sat and listened to funk, jazz, blues, and Cat Stevens.
The number of artists exhibiting their goods varies each quarter, and tonight was pretty small in comparison to the past. It just made it easier for me. I don't find it easy to get out to take pics like I used to do. I get pretty winded without the oxygen.
But WTF, I made it to the Epekal Gallery, stopped in the bookstore, and got back over to the MAC in time to rendevous with Laurie, who happens to be a Cat Stevens fan. They played one of his songs twice.
Wild times here on the plains of the Central Valley tonight.
