Who is Jason Kehl? Munge, I told my wife what you said about not having hung out at a cool place since the ORG. She' probably going to knock your block off (and disinvite you from hanging out here).

A while back I refered to Matt as a "Runt" so now I want to apologize.

To Runts.

I do sometimes laugh at these posts out loud. Chaz' last was one of them.

mtnyoung, remember though by 'cool place' we are meaning trendy, fashionistas, place that the mobs run to because they are bored clipping steel at their local crag. I mean, who cud blame em. this has no bearing on quality food with Salsa around.

Trendy fashionistas we proudly are not. And so, uncool.

whoa, damn Matt, i must have been on a serious negativity bender there. sorry 'bout that.

and i have confirmed that this appears to be the de facto post valley trip mexican food place. quite good, really after having gone there many many times in 07.

and Chaz's post is still funny. :)

Munge -- Ratchet and I always hang out at the Richland Market at the back of the lot. Good sushi & stuff. We occasionally grab & go at the Del Taco, but we are (and always have been) rather clueless about what is COOL [TM].

Thanks for the great climbing this year, and here's looking forward to more of the same in 08.

Merry Christmas Tacoans!

Taqueria El Agave - oh yeah! Eric and I have powered many a FA on the Carnita Super Burrito -

inexpensive, quick, and lots of good toppings you can take with you (marinated onions... all sorts of salsa fresca).

Don't know if it is a climber hangout now, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think I've ever had to go into a Del Taco (but it was Debbie's favorite, fortunately I was never with her when that particular urge struck).

I have now also been to another taqueria down the road closer to where you turn right.

This place is a serious dive. Everything is served in styrofoam, and a specialty is the 'California burrito', which contains beans, etc., and french fries!

Good to know what's out there, I guess.

Happy Holiday! See some of you in Jtree.

My usual stopping spots:
Taqueria Agave (dinner on the way in)
might have to add the Thai place next to Trader Joe's in pleasanton for the later night starts

On the way out, depends on how late we are:
the pizza place on right in the first civilization
Cocina Michoacana (across from Iron Door saloon)
pizza place down in Oakdale (closed at midnight)
Denny's in Oakdale (had several 5-6am breakfasts on way home from a long night)
