don't you have some arabs to go kill?
oh wait, you're just a fat assed blowhard and a coward, stuck over there in rich-white-guy-ville on a keboard, which explains why you always seem so enamored w/ trading barbs w/ me.

get a real life, you idiot.

btw- you and you asnine, racist, war-mongering point of view no longer entertain me, but if i ever get the chance, i have a perfect payback waiting in the wings for you.

cheers

Chaz - please reread post

MisterE - sorry no trip report yet

Matt - "new" as in 'new to being filled with tards over the last year' not as in new that it went up yesterday.

anyone else care to take a stab at posting intelligently?

nice negativity for a Monday morning.

fuk off and die, I always say.

Thx Atch, may chk it. The taco trucks in Riverbank and Motown on the So Side of the tracks are good too.

Matt,

-all these other people are "tards"

[FYI- please note 'tard' is often a term of endearment]

-everyone else is negative (but not you)

[yep, Monday morning this is absolute truth.]

-and nobody but you posts anything intelligent
[whatever works for your interpretation 'hector-projector']

About at Groveland, the thoughts turn to The eating stop there. Before I found out about that place, the best thing was Karl's Jr.!! (me: can you recommend a good place to eat here? local: umm... no. repeat) It's not Del Taco, but behind it. Lots of climbers.

Jay

Does that make me a 'tard?

Matt, we've talked about this before. You can't (sucessfully) be a left wing-peace-loving-all-the-world-is-nice type if you gratuitously attack people. Don't just talk peace, live it. Now, apologize to Munge and make the world a better place. Then get positive. Work toward what you espouse, not against it.

BTW, I know Munge personally, and he talks weird too. He's one of those Generation X dudes who you can only understand about half the time.

thanks in advance (btw- the idiot line forms to the right, over there behind jeff).

In an attempt to get this thread back on topic I will relate one of my Oakdale Del Taco stories.....

Coming back from a climbing trip we stopped off at Del Taco and ordered dinner. As we were finishing our gourmet meal the worker behind the counter asked if would like an order that somebody placed, but had apparently left without picking up. My partner and I must have been the only people (read victims) left in the joint, but we are climbers so we took them up on their generous offer.

Personally, I couldn't eat six Del Taco tacos in one siting so I brought a couple home. Tasted pretty good the next day as well. You can't be a Real(TM) climber unless you like fast food!

New?

Munge Tessa was there when she was about 5 months old. Jason Kehl signed her belly that night.

She's 3.5 now and still hasn't washed her tummy.

Matt, interesting comment. I wasn't sure your original post was negative, it can be read as just a passing comment. But everyone else thought it was negative and you didn't disagree. Maybe I erred in my a*#umption.

But the rest of your posts are problems (although I have to admit I laughed out loud at the first line of your post to Fatrad). Remember, peace and brotherly love can only start with you, so get it over with, apologize to Munge (and to me,now, and to Fatrad while you're at it). If you can't apologize, get with the program! Peace brother.

I'm so slow on the uptake of where the cool place to hang is.

I haven't hung at a cool place since Rock and Ice came out with the mini guide to Owens River Gorge.

BTW, locals know that the only truly great food in Oakdale is at Ferresi's deli. It looks like a hole in the wall, but quality food is job one.

Who is Jason Kehl? Munge, I told my wife what you said about not having hung out at a cool place since the ORG. She' probably going to knock your block off (and disinvite you from hanging out here).

I do sometimes laugh at these posts out loud. Chaz' last was one of them.

mtnyoung, remember though by 'cool place' we are meaning trendy, fashionistas, place that the mobs run to because they are bored clipping steel at their local crag. I mean, who cud blame em. this has no bearing on quality food with Salsa around.

whoa, damn Matt, i must have been on a serious negativity bender there. sorry 'bout that.

and i have confirmed that this appears to be the de facto post valley trip mexican food place. quite good, really after having gone there many many times in 07.

and Chaz's post is still funny. :)

Munge -- Ratchet and I always hang out at the Richland Market at the back of the lot. Good sushi & stuff. We occasionally grab & go at the Del Taco, but we are (and always have been) rather clueless about what is COOL [TM].

Thanks for the great climbing this year, and here's looking forward to more of the same in 08.

Merry Christmas Tacoans!

Taqueria El Agave - oh yeah! Eric and I have powered many a FA on the Carnita Super Burrito -

inexpensive, quick, and lots of good toppings you can take with you (marinated onions... all sorts of salsa fresca).

Don't know if it is a climber hangout now, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I don't think I've ever had to go into a Del Taco (but it was Debbie's favorite, fortunately I was never with her when that particular urge struck).

I have now also been to another taqueria down the road closer to where you turn right.

This place is a serious dive. Everything is served in styrofoam, and a specialty is the 'California burrito', which contains beans, etc., and french fries!

Good to know what's out there, I guess.

Happy Holiday! See some of you in Jtree.

My usual stopping spots:
Taqueria Agave (dinner on the way in)
might have to add the Thai place next to Trader Joe's in pleasanton for the later night starts

On the way out, depends on how late we are:
the pizza place on right in the first civilization
Cocina Michoacana (across from Iron Door saloon)
pizza place down in Oakdale (closed at midnight)
Denny's in Oakdale (had several 5-6am breakfasts on way home from a long night)
