though she is more beautiful than dawn.
the loving thing.
yesterday i went through our produce
and sorted according to edibility,
our wares.
and i got exceedingly low standards;
so i built in the refrigerator
a stash of sub-standard fruits and vegetables
that the on-site bunnies would incur....
and just now is their time
but i can't find it anywhere?
so i grind the mind into the pavement
trouble-shooting reality
and i conclude that she, lovely she,
inherited the kick-the-shite-out-of-kingdom-come gene
from me,
and she packed her lunch this morning
with the food that i deemed unfit for human consumption.
that's the beauty of rearing children:
they rip apart your emotional and logical paradigms
and then rebuild them according to the pure principals
of innocence, surrender and beauty.
and you, dad, are left standing there
in awe wondering what love just attacked my heart,
but we both the dauther and i
stand there
a little askew and awkward because
we both know that only
the inverse of reason can
suffice as guidance.

The Weege is in Homer now?
You'll like it there.
There is some bouldering around, some crags across the water, but not much.
Let me know if you want to come a few hours north and climb.

Own of my daughters got into dirtbagging with me for a while. We had a great time bumming around together.
What a wonderful way to deepen your bonds to one another! Thanks for the post - it brought up some really sweet times.

Nice... After a lifetime of doing big rope swings and some lite climbing, my Daughter at 16, after watching Touching The Void, came to me and said........ "Lets go Real Climbing" I want to do that.
I was thrilled.... we went out a bunch for a year. I will tell you this- when its your Daughter down there struggling with a crux it feels a lot different then when its just another Dude.
Really good to see you back on the net weege.

killer k indeed mine
are frequent moments
when i find myself
in and incredible location
contemplating an
unlikely execution.
but then the
absurd adheres to my
input and order
gracefully becomes disorder.
thus my spoon is filled.
plus i imagine orgasms
where they otherwise weren't
on a regular basis.

survival,
daughters hold magic and tragic
in their hands,
according to a man's interpretation.
all of it graces
the instruction manual
of a father's discipline.

guyman,
climbing is shite and useless and beautiful,
though it well mocks the
aweful struggles that
our culture, and the world
imposes upon upcoming beings.
thus we employ climbing as
an instruction medium
that exceeds it's own bounds.
