He's named 37 of the elements in the Periodic Table...

When asked if Pluto should remain a planet, he replied "I never much liked the name" (since demoted (Pluto, that is))...

He wrote a guidebook in less time than Louis L'Amour wrote his 89th novel...

The wives of top climbers and scientists the world over visit him for his "specialty flan"...

Fidel Castro regularly calls him about beard matters...

He is, the most interesting man in the world...

That's funn-eeeeeyonkee!

But Fidel's dead. If he's still consulting the Intelligent One on the beard thing, maybe HE should be known as the most interesting man in the (NEXT) world?

I've heard it was 40 elements, BTW.

He doesn't even play, does he? Still, he is by far the coolest Berkeley physicist on the ST. Smart too.

Wait! I am confused and insecure as ever in this shape-shifting improbable world. Does that mean I hate Ed?

Easily Ed is the Most Interesting Man In The World on Supertopo. Easily. I'm not just saying that because I'm may be afraid of him coming at me with that Beard. If you were to read a Ed H. post and next read someone, oh say The Mighty Hiker's post, well the Mighty Hiker's post would sound boooorrrrring. If Ed wanted to he could get out his chemicals and create a red headed son and call him Red Hartouni. Little freckled faced Red Hartouni. I can't get over how interesting that is. I think I go now.

As for asking why, Ed has been the scientist most open and generous with his knowledge on ST and will gleefully answer your question.

I feel bad for the people who choose to attack Ed based on their insecurity and confusion with an ever changing world.

Damn, that guy is handsome! Looks smart, too....
Yup....

The most interesting man in the world is also a wonderful human , pretty good at photography and a spectacular salsa dancer..
On the Dance floor he is know as ~Senor Eduardo Rico Suave.

Senor Ed, where's the Salsa at Face Lift? This year will bring the Fandango and challenge yo to a dance off.

Malemute, we're having fun here. Forget the politico, please.

I would seriously love to see Ed be the new face of "the most interesting" commercials. Does he drink Dos Equis? This could really work.
