If you had Castlton plans...prep for an interesting weekend. Seems out of place to me

"AIR-CRAFTSMEN-- take heed to this warning! There is a clearly visible bright white 1600'+ highline rigged between Castleton and the Rectory-- from now until Monday! Many people from across the globe will be trying to walk this line through out the weekend in hopes of setting a new highline world record. I'm writing this to ask pilots to pretty friggin' please (with cherries on top) don't fly your helicopters or planes into this line and try to blame it on me, especially if you see a person balancing on it!! I know it's 2000' high, rigged off of 350' tall rock summits, and may seem out of place-- but I assure this is exactly the place this line should go. I have made contact and issued several personal aircraft warnings, conversed with search and rescue about potential rescue needs and plans and heli's landing on the saddle of the towers, and have a NoTaM that just may be filed and finished in time before the line is promptly de-rigged. With Facebooks help I think I can actually be more efficient and effective, (how scary is that?)-- please, if you can, share this to any pilot you think could be effected. (Thanks to Brian for the pic of yours I I brutally cropped so people could see the line better smile emoticon oh, and someone's on it~ #slacklife"

don't you need a permit for something like that and if so would not the air ports be notified?

EDIT: The four visits to both towers I have had USAF F-15 & F-16's buzz through the "Notch" two of those times.

This is going to be good.

Have they notified the actual airports and pilots in the surrounding area?

Besides just a facebook page that nobody will see.

I'm serious!!!

We rigged a Tyrolean line across a canyon at on Survival of the fittest show once and I told the them you 100% for sure have to contact the aerial logging co. near our location.

They said we will do it.

Guess what!!!

They never did and the logging helicopter the next morning almost hit the line and for sure would have crashed the helo and killed the pilot.

The pilot came over and was major pissed at us.

This is not a troll

Stay tuned for further instruction

*pretty curious the anchor situation for this set-up. piles of extra bolts on top of that N side highpoint of the summit might be a karmic no-no, depending on your drill-dogma.

Théo Sanson walked it today, he fell maybe 4 times ? in his attempt. I am not into slackening at all , but it was damn impressive. It was a strangely peaceful accomplishment, not much hoopla (except a drone buzzing nearby). I actually didn't even see the line until someone pointed it out, but I am not as observant as I used to be :)

Wow! Would like to hear more. That is some amazing rigging., Any details?

Wonder how it would feel with frequency of vibrations--must be rigged relatively loose?

Impressive.
