i have to stop looking at this site because it's making me mad that i can't go climb. so, i won't be chiming in for while. if you need to get ahold of me or would like to say hello, i'll be available the old fashioned way - email! stonetradition at hotmail dot com. (but i won't want to talk about climbing or my shoulder)

anyways, i gotta go study...

i wish you all well.

cheers,

Good luck, t*r. Keep your confidence up!

EDIT: I'm reminded of a taco along the McCloud River, October
1987. Also Chipmunk Flat, August 2006.

you should come visit chicago, its the mecca of all things non-climbing. there is nothing to tempt you here, i'd be happy to show you around.

SS,

I cant climb either for the moment but, I still like it here. There are a number of people here on the DL. This does not mean that we still cannot enjoy climbing or posting here in the forum.

Interacting in this forum keeps me in touch with the climbing world.

i "dropped by" again to print out the shoulder thread because it has so much advice.

it's not that i don't like this website or the discussions. it's that looking at all the climbing related stuff, you know, on the sides, the threads, the ads for the books... is going to bug me... i know that i'll get upset about not being able to go climbing, so i'm trying to avoid that in the first place. hope that makes sense.

love, t*star

You'll find the absolute best Tacos at the little stands right on the street in Mexico. They're even better (and cheaper) when you get away from the Tourist Areas.

I've eaten Tacos at at least 100 Taco Joints in the U.S. (probably alot more than that) and not one of them can compare to an Al Pastor Taco from a grimy little out-door stand with no running water or refrigerator on a dirt Mexican sidewalk.

We're heading down for the Bullfights in TJ in May. Wanna go?

'Not teh 'git all counselor like Standing Strong,
But I kinda get yer drift bro; I been down lots and there was a time when I couldn't crack a climberin' magazoon cuz the distance just bugged me.

For me, thiz wacko cyberville thing is like that deal where you live at the crags (sans actual climbin') and where every moment is a social one, yer buddies and betty's always at hand for a laugh or two.

Back in the day, livin' in the valley, I could hardly find a moment to write home, because the social environment was so rich; I find it is much the same here.

Take a break, and like Jaybro said, we'll be here.

Taco Truck, Tahlequah OK -

double soft corn torts,

hot green salsa, avocado and a coupla radish slices?

very possibly bacon grease in the ground beef

all for ten bits

then again a fish taco or two I've had mighta topped 'em
but not for the price

good luck with the shoulder - my recent frequent partner's been out for a couple weeks with a trick shoulder, sux tryin' to decide when/whether to lay off . . . then his deer bow "misfired" and put him out for sure, and an arrow up high in the sky!

Chill out kid. You're just frustrated cuz you're injured. Injuries totally suck. Studying is a good thing. Stay focused on that and you'll be healed and ready to climb in no time. You've got all winter to heal up and be ready next year sometime. Don't let it pain you; it'll only hurt more when you realize you shouldn't have walked away. From climbing that is.
