It got off to a good start, nailing, bolting, rebolting, beer can crushing.

So who's got it now?

What sickness has it seen over the last year?

Good call and good memory there Mucci.

I might have to take my turn soon.

i saw sparks within my mind,
maybe it vaporized and transcended
the spiritual plane

and is now taking the nuts and bolts
outta mine mind.

don't worry if it has cause,
i'll set it free upon some
huge thoughtful exhaust,
and i'll donate the nuts and
bolts to the safe standards fund.

once i physically wield it
i'll beat some heads with it
though not of the biker gait,

and perhaps finish off the prow.

I'd like to see it show up at one of the Occupy Protests... but then the media will probably take it as one half of a hammer and sickle symbol.

Weege, I'd love to tie in for a route and use Thor's hammer.

Might do spring break with the kids in OR in March, but will be retooling for a wall in the near after.

We'll stay in touch. Can you speak in riddles and rhymes and sh*t like you write when I'm leading? It'll distract me from being scared on A3....HA!!

I bought a hammer from "the Bird" a few years ago in the parking lot of intersection rock. This was when i was doing big walls more consistently, since then the hammer has been a point of inspiration for our explorations in other parts of the world, i.e. Searching for the Tomb of Genghis Khan in Mongolia:

http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/player/national-geographic-channel/specials-1/expedition-week-1/ngc-the-missing-tomb.html

many of the members of the expedition team for this have posted to this forum in the past and have "pulled harder" from the inspiration of the hammer (i.e. snowey, nate ricklin, kostas, travelin_light).

Now, with the biggest challenge it has faced yet, the hammer is set to inspire the next generation of climber.
If there are any tribute walls that it needs to do lets talk!

Mike is now the caretaker of the whammer. I'm sure he wants it to see the stone it was made for.

So, is anyone going to set this thing to stone in 2012?

calling nature....

As a side note, I discussed this with Doug Robinson via email after I bought it. He said he thinks it is a prototype Jim was pretty excited about.

As I recall, the head needs a shim or whatever you call that thing you nail into the stock for expansion.

Just a bit loose. Double check before you go for FA glory!!!!

It is a beast for bolting.
