This video is a great break from the monotony - short, in a recognizable area, with some history and great shots.

So, who'se gonna get the third...?

Man, that rock looks good... like, uncharacteristically good. Maybe I should stop climbing at Reggie Dome...

Cool looks like my friend Rob shot that.

The Kid had the eye on that one 20+ years ago!

What a really creative concept: take Chris Lindner out (or some other current climbing power) and do radical classics from the eighties or even earlier. LOVE it. Good on you all who put that thing together. More of this would be incredibly interesting!!

Although Kurt and I didn't really get along BITD I always thought he was an awesome climber. Now that we're both older I bet we'd get along just fine.

Like F10, I had a great time watching this at Vertical Hold several Fridays ago. It was really sweet. Chris is a stellar presenter. It's not about the me with Chris it's about the we.

Only wish Kurt could have been there. Cheers to you both....Peace, lynne

That's a very cool route--and an equally cool video. If only I were 30 years younger...

...no wait, I probably couldn't have done it then, either.

Thats what I think is the most amazing part of it. We are getting young guys who don't have an ego that keeps them off these super hard old school routes. Guys like Matt Wilder and Segal and Lindner getting after it, very rad. Starting to unravel the mysteries in the gap between old school traditional and new school gymnastics.

Especially for my generation it is awesome to see. How good were my climbing heroes? For the most part the ratings that were given to those groundbreaking routes were way off.... as in sandbagged. Lynn Hill called The Nose 13c or something, confirmed now at around 14a. Hensels ratings of Ishii and SYN seem almost laughable.

Lot of routes out at josh no one wants to spend the time to unravel their real intricate moves. Not giant lunges on decent holds on an overhanging limestone wall, but very thin stuff that takes massive finesse.

In JT a pro climber from Europe, Said Bellhaj, came over and was asking us at the shop about the "hard" sport routes. He left a few days later, and I asked him what he ended up climbing.

"oh, I just bouldered around a bit... did The Caveman and some other things..."

Yahright. I put him in the direction of the Ivory Tower and Desert Shield. You got smoked dude!
