John Friend, creator of Anasura Yoga, has created a new yoga mat that is "Revolutionary." Instead of being a mere 26'' wide, he dreamt for years and finally manifested a 30'' wide yoga mat. Watch the video and read his letter here:

I cant wait to buy one...and Prana has them for $90. What a steal.

A steal was early this year when they had 40% off everything.

$90 is regular price.

I've had one since then. There's still some inconsistencies in the product (I'm sending mine back but I've seen many others that don't have the problem mine does). I went back to my Manduka Eko mat.

the 30" wide width rocks.

inda fun... i know most of the people in the video. And Dee cracks me up...

You need some kind of special dedicated mat before you can twist yourself into odd shapes? What's next? People believing they need clothes specially designed for climbing?

It's not need. it's desire.

All you *need* is a bare floor, of course.

Real Yoga masters do it on a bed of nails and wear their bed sheet for pants.

What's up with this modern pussy ass prana sh'it?

copulate, consume and conform

emphasis on "consume"

re- produce; create multiple replicant offspring

and multiply consumption accordingly

repeat process

increase consumption geometrically

achive consumptive resources depletion -

to system failure

Manduka has been making similar (priced) mats for years.

Any of ya'll's ever worn holes or blown out a yoga mat? The Revolution and the higher priced mandukas will never blow out. So you'll get what you pay for.

The dam thing weighs like 12 pounds. The sheer volume of natural materials easily explains the price. The real value is it's the widest mat out there and if you practice Anusara you really want the 30" width (my fingers hang off the side of my 26" wide mat)

Werner cracks me up....

and some people don't get sarcasm. lol

It's sorta funny to watch Prana getting ripped while everyone is running around in Patagucci.

and $30 is kinda steep for a mat that won't last.

I recently sent back a bunch of Patagucci stuff (worn/blown). They were nice enough to do something about it (which Prana would do the same).

But ya'll probably do have a point... why drop $90 on something you'd hardly use?

Well, ya got me there, Doug.
I don't do yoga in my Patagucci gear.
Just a fleece & some longies. 16 years & counting.
Quality.

if it ever does blow out quietly send it back to Pattagucci and see what happens. I was surprised.

I have three pair of Patagonia shoes now. They are quality.

But this discussion is all relative. If you don't use it you don't need it no matter the cost. I practice four times a week and teach twice a week. $90 for a mat that will last a lifetime? YEah, in 16 years I'm sure I'll still feel like it was a rip-off.

I've never run much of the Prana climbing clothing but the yoga stuff is quality as well. I really like Mountain Hardware for climbing (though my new R1 pullover is pretty toasty and sweet)

I'm sorry nature that was satire. i didn't mean for anyone's reputation to get tarnished during the making of what i now realize was a horrible horrible joke.

Learn how to spell Tami.

I already know how to spell Tami. It's T-a-m-i.

So back off.

Or were you in grammar Nazi mode and chastizing Tami for her spelling? In that case you should have put a comma after "spell". Reminds me a bit about glass houses and throwing stones.

Everything on Prana's website listed under the activity(?) dirtbagging is half priced. Marketing ploy?
