There is no where else like it... alpine terrain serviced by chairlifts!

So jealous! I haven't been back in years

What is the condition of the Brenva face routes? I fear they may be melted out
due to warming?

Fossil, I think it really depends on the season for that face. Obviously most of those routes are threatened by seracs but I know people still climb them so you really just have to check in with the PGHM and see how they say the seracs/conditions are.

Owen,

Really enjoyed your TR! During my college years I made a few trips to Chamonix. focusing on the big classics with John Bouchard. I'm sending you a separate message regarding climbing in NH, where I live.

Very, very nice! Chairlifts are way nice....unfortunately, too many people feel the same way.
You really got after it!

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone, I will try and post another TR after my next trip (I am trying to save up enough money to get down to Patagonia this January). And SteveA I would love to connect, I just emailed you back!

Also sorry to fan boy a little here, but Donini I just wanted to say that I am a BIG big fan of yours. I climbed the Ham and Eggs couloir a couple of years back and also climbed the first couple pitches of Shaken but the route was not in. What an amazing line though! Mad respect for everything you have done and put up over the years!
