I'm on the fence given the weather here and contemplating a potential white knuckle drive over the passes, but I'll see what the I-70 cams have to show in the morning and hopefully head out by mid day manana. Sushi and veggies look pretty darn good though :-) I'm thinking I would just camp at IC Thurs & Fri nights, so I could meet whoever wants to climb in IC on Friday morning at the Beef Basin road message board, maybe 9:00am. Reeotch/Nature - you guys down for splitters on Friday? (looks a bit chilly for towers on Fri).

Thanks Manny, I'll look for a note Friday am. Hopefully other takers will show up for sunny splitters. I'm not sure where I'll camp Thurs night, depends on what time I arrive in the afternoon/evening. I drive a silver Mazda 3 sedan with CO plates... -Dave

hey there all, say, just stepped in to wish nature a great sucess...

say, johntp, i just saw you can't go.... say, for you and anyone else that had to back out, say, sorry to hear that...

that's a bit harder than not even planning to, or being able to, go in the first place...

hmmmm, perhaps we can all raise a glass of good-cheer in the midst of the day, to well-wish all those that went... :) and--still feel a "bit of the part"... :)

I'm packing up now... the first 100 miles west look pretty white, but once on the other side of the divide, things look better. See you there!

Post up when you cross the divide, brassnuts. Coming over with tarbuster tomorrow. AMGA meeting in Moab Fri night. Will be down either very late Fri or Sat am. Since tar and I have climbed all of the 5.9's in the creek many, many times and can't clomb the 5.10s, we're bring road bikes. Anyone want to join us road-twinkies? The Abajo Loop road looks great.

You may want to bring chains for that trike . . .

Snow should stop soon, but what's on the ground will probably be there for a while.

Still planning on leaving Salt Lake City at about 6am tomorrow morning and climb at Battle of the 2s, in the sun, tomorrow afternoon. Anyone camping Friday night at the site?

Just saw photos from Monument Valley after yesterday's storm.

Wow!
Looks like SE Utah got pasted!!

I drove through Beaver on sunday with the top down. Yesterday they closed down the Interstate there! A foot of snow and a string of wrecks.

Make sure you bring coolers to keep the fish from freezing.
