Let us try this again with a different title. I am pleased to announce this confirmation. John Long and Dean Fidelman will be doing the first ever Stonemasters slideshow at the East Auditorium behind the Visitor Center on Friday, September 25th, 7:00pm -10:00pm during the Facelift. There will be a book signing to follow. Beer and wine served. Be there or be slandered. This is history in the making. Thank you Simon (Ihateplastic) for your earlier efforts.

Looking forward to seeing it - where can I get a reservation? I got caught flat footed, and didn't catch much of their show at the tarparty at the Gordons' in April. But what I saw was great!

Mighty Hiker, Just show up earlier and get a beer. Don't worry I can always get you a spot behind the projector. Just teasing. Early helpers like yourself get to jump to the front of the line.

It sounds like the book will be here the 21st. If so, it will be available that night. I am not sure how much. Whatever it is, it is worth it. There is no book on that era and no book of that quality since Vertical World of Yosemite. I have seen the mock-up and I think this book will be one of the best ever on Yosemite climbing.

Hmm, I have two copies ordered. I wonder who else is coming to the FaceLift, who has ordered a copy? It might be an opportunity for the publisher/authors to distribute copies to those who've already ordered, and save some shipping, although it would take a little organizing.

Mighty,

You might not want to change anything, it would be a bummer to spill wine or beer on your copies.

Good to hear Ken. I can't say I've ever seen anything written by Long that wasn't fascinating and usually gripping. Dean Fieldman as the photographer needs no embellishment, his Stone Nudes calenders have shown us for many years what climbing photography art is with the fluidity of movement and amazing human forms his stills capture. Wish I could make it.

Cool Ken, kinda fitting to have this on the 10th anniversary of the Save Camp 4 party.

Nice touch, even if that wasn't the intent. ;)
