Minerals and I went on a killer hike today. Best one in the park yet.
Lots of interesting stuff going on in the rocks and and the destination was a very unusual formation hidden away in a swale.
(Which has been posted on here before. )
It was very near Mt Hoffman and the views of the Yosemite High Country were incredible.

Also looked like some great route potential all around if you wanted to hump a load in there.

Thanks to Pete Steres for the route description, we went right to it. RIP buddy, we miss you!

Awesome!
Geology tours with Minerals are Great fun, unless you're in a hurry(I strive not to be).
Sounds like some High Country Hijinks, for sure.

A swale is a low tract of land, especially one that is moist or marshy. The term can refer to a natural landscape feature or a human-created one. When created by humans, this open drain system is usually designed to manage water runoff. (See bioswale.)
