I'd like to do it in Cochise. Vegas is a bit of a drive. Flagstaff might work. Otherwise I'm out of options.

So... interest level? Mark Miller? Radical? The Reverend?

GM opens back up July 15th... will be prime in Oct.

You got The Mountain, Granite Dells, Willow Dells, Promised Land, Thumb Butte easy drive to Paradise Forks. I think there's still a group site at Granite Basin.

Cochise is good too, though.

Well, cause that's where I'm heading this fall so it would be really convenient to have sushi there.

October in Prescott? The camping at the boulders South of town is serene.

Probably could get back for either that or Flag...

How about Mt Lemmon. We dropped by Showers Point Group site and it looked great for the fest. Real good.

I don't know when it closes for the season but the grounds are great.

Lemmon is a really good idea.

Let me look into those campgrounds.

I think it was Ramada 3 at Showers Point. It has a roof, full-on fireplace and is a 10 min hike to The Druid. I'll look into it too.

With the whole mountain open to climbing (no falcon closures), it could be good.

I'll help get it going if you want. Let's look into it.

Squeezing the Lemmon or Cochise,

Both sound like a good place for some sushi.

Oh yeah, and some climbing

South of Prescott? Do you mean Groom Creek? They are more ESE. That's a great spot but Granite Mountain also has group campsites and the fall is Prime Season there.

Yes, everyone would like to have it in their own back yard. Problem is all of our cumulative back yards are thousands of miles apart.

So that being the problem the only solution is... my back yard.

Probably Cochise in October.

Getting to AZ,NV and UT would not be problematic for me, especially if I can find someone to share the ride. But a solo trip out West with my trusty pooch is long overdue.

I still don't like sushi tho. So a place where there is pizza close by works great for me. Kidding. :-)

I specialize in chickens.

Do you like shrimp? Don't worry... I've had bigger challenges. I'll take care of you :-)

How much noise can we make at the group campground on Lemmon? I think the idea is for Burning Barn to Rise from the Ashes to play again.

Chickita has left Nature for me, so I would venture his "Specialization" has it's drawbacks from a hen's standpoint. ;}

Look who followed me home:

Edit: fortunately Skip's grudge with Gertrude doesn't apply to Chickita...
