^^^Sweet, dee ee.

And tolman_paul, who jumped line, just as sweet or sweeter.

I'm so envious of you cats who get to see and shoot the mountains under the clouds first-hand.

Not being able to travel much really sucks; but it's the choice I made, so fuchkit.

Whoo-hoo! What's that isle out on the horizon, may I ask?

I think that what I really mean is that I am happy being able to at least shoot clouds,
but would like the opportunity to get to the hills to see what I can do with what I've been learning.

Yeah, that's it.

It's great to have a long view from my aerie in Middle Earth, I won't deny.

But to shoot from the vantage of a raptor on a high lonely (safe) ledge would be different, I know.

This is a sunrise shot taking in the central Sierrrrra Nevada.
The terrain takes in Merced, Mariposa, Madera, and Fresno Counties.
The peaks shown extend from the Clark Range in YNP, through SoYo, and down to the Shuteye country and foothills in eastern Madera County and northern Fresno County.

I guess it will have to do.

neebee always advises us to grow where we are planted, and I've yet to get bad advice from her.

Mouse, it's not an island. That's Mount Spurr, an active volcano in the Alaska Range. As best I can tell right at 100 miles away from our house. I can also see Mount Foraker, but Denali is obscured by a ridge.

Couple more cloud pics
