John, this is an all-time, country mega classic and an inspired tune. I have it in vinyl and CD and mp3.

I was a complete classical music connoiseur throughout the "hi-fi" age (the age where one built his own "hi-fi" system) circa 1955-1961.

It was my introduction to climbing, and my much younger climbing partners, that introduced me to Dylan, Baez, the Beatles, Seeger, Guthrie, and all the other "hippie, radical, Marxist" no-goodniks. Climbers in the early sixties opened my ears to music that, with out their influence, would have left me bereft of music that became as dear to me as anything the geniuses of the previous centuries had to offer.

TM Herbert, to this day, will not allow me sit quietly in my living room upon his arrival without insisting that I put on Baez's "Any Day Now".

Another classic, this version feels more sexy than sappy, to me.
