This gator was spotted from a KTBS helicopter 90 miles outside of Birmingham, AL on Lake Weiss. It had a full sized stag buck in it's mouth. And the game warden in the picture is 6'5". The gator is over 28" long......

I guess being big is a capital crime for a gator in Alabama.

Back when I was fighting fires I got sent to Florida. On a day off I took a boat trip and saw a big azz gator with a deer in its mouth. Yikes! Also went to a climbing gym in Tallahassee. Being a climber in Florida has got to be tough.

Did they kill it?

If so, thats f*#ked up, why kill it? I mean, I guess it would make a nice mantel piece, but really, why kill it?

Killing these huge gators really takes away from some much needed natural selection here in the south!

Curious they shot him.

Maybe he was "too big to mail".

I thought they usually relocated the problem 'gators to wild areas, zoos, etc.

Maybe he was "too big to feed".

Lots of good meat there!
