Lynne, it has been wonderful to get to know you this past year, you are a great and enthusiastic spirit and your positive nature is an inspiration for me as I age, too. It is true that we all spend just a finite time here on this third stone from the sun. I am happy that our times coincided. Grace, the quality or state of being considerate or thoughtful, is something I aspire to, and you help me realize it can be attained.

Thanks.

Wow, Ed H. Your words are so very special to me and encourage me to not quit and keep on keeping on. Years ago during another challenging time in Lynnies life this phrase came to my brain, "not quitting is winning."

I just think the Taco brings out the best in all of us if we let it. Sure we all disagree on topics, but the best of this place is what yo just put in words. Grace......which is often liberally applied to all our friends here....undeserved mercy and kindness.

The Taco includes hundreds of great people in my life and all they have accomplished....just a few include Tobin Sorenson's crazy adventures, Bachar boxing and soloing, Randy Vogel, DE, Darryl N, The Brits, Mari, Maria, Leklinski (sp?) Todd G., Doug Z., Kevin P., D. Hensel, Mike Graham, Brett Pinar, Tucker, Johnnie W., Double D, Captain Chaos and incredible Xtreme skiing......Todd Gordon, Zip and Cosmic making Lynnies dream to climb come true. Jess putting their time out there for someone that needed some caring, help and support.

Wow ! Yo all on the Taco need to know that you are important and have in your power the ability to change a persons life.

Love to Yo All, Lynnie

EDIT : I like that....third stone from the sun....should be a song or movie....is it ? : ))

Double Edit: DR YO hehehehe :DDD

Lynne,

Too bad, I think they may only have those old read-only browsers up in H-land.... :-)

One of my favorite Jimi Hendrix quotes is something like: "Can you imagine all those people who died before us, and us, all up in heaven? 'Hey, move over man - I ain't got no room...' Wow."
OK, yeah, I'm an existentialist. So I say do what you can now, while you're alive, and don't expect to make up for it later. It sounds like Dan had a pretty good life - he loved, had kids and watched them grow up.... And I'm sure he got a chance to say goodbye to you. [Edit: sorry, I assumed incorrectly about that; I'm sorry you did not get that chance. Being there all that uncertain time during the coma - that sounds very rough.] Many people miss out on those things.

I hope you can find a way to heal; of course it will take time. There may be setbacks sometimes. Find ways to be happy - there are still a lot of good things out in the world....

Clint, thank you for caring and posting !

I've enjoyed your climbing posts on the Taco !

Dan had a great life and for that I am grateful. We had many adventures of the highest quality. Thank God we did not wait for "retirement". Every opportunity possible Dan created adventures for us, all over the world. We had a great and "challenging" marriage. :} We had a life filled with love, passion, forgiveness and just caring and being together day by day. ...pushing each other to be the best we could be.

The one sad thing was that we did not get to say goodbye. Dan's condition deteriorated so quickly in the hospital they put him on a ventilator and an induced coma like state. That is a sad thing I am still working through. But it's ok. I spent the whole month with him in the hospital. He knew I was there...and I wanted to be.

Peace, Lynne

Grandpa's up there making new fireworks for us to enjoy... it's the lightning.

From Josh

PS. Josh watched the DVD on Saturday morning, I didn't tell him it was his birthday. I think he just feels a connection.

Lynne!
You celebrate this beautiful life and his memory so well. Feel the love because it is eternal. Time is the only thing that separates us. Since time is an illusion which death
removes, we will all be together soon.

Yeah, Lynne, Dan is probably smiling down on you and grateful that you've been gettin' on with things. He's probably spotting you on routes too!

He's still with you, remember him but try not to get down about it. He'd want you to be happy and living life doing routes with the old crew...and us newer guys.

Love ya, Lynne!
