Another TR in a vain attempt to see some climbing content in this fake climbers' forum!
So I went to Utah, Nevada and Arizona for 6 weeks in October and November.
Climbing some .7 chimney on Off Balanced rock at Arches. I retreated shortly after this shot. Humbling, but the 90 foot runout had me skairt. You know how some chimneys, you can't fall out of? This wasn't one of them. You fall, you could fall into hell itself.
Leading Chinese Eyes at Arches. The crack was cool, but the rock there stinks! As a contact lens wearer, getting an eye full of sand every time you place a cam STINKS.
Ok, enough complaining. Arches is beautiful! Go there!
Indian Creek social scene:

As usual, had tons of fun and met some great people. We found John from Index wandering around the base, checking things out. We told him to get his stuff, and handed him the rope. Gorilla:
Yours truly starting up Dos Hermanos:
Some poor quality vid shot by some buddys down the canyon of me whipping out of the roof:

Redpointing feels good!
hamming it up at Landscape Arch in arches NP on a rest day
hardwoman Melissa heroically coils the rope
she doesn't just coil rope, she racks cams!
just kidding. She totally coasted the Excuse Station, one of the purer splitters in a sea of pure splitters
Coolin the guns on Ancient Art. We did the ascent beer to beer at the Moab Brewery in 2:20. Not bad!
Yeah it was fun. here I am with the rack we used:
John and I after we finished. Great guy and a great partner, hope to climb with you up in Index dude!
Another rest day adventure, driving up the road past Jughandle Arch, just past maverick buttress. Maverick!
Another great partner, Clay from Ft. Fun. We had a terrific couple days crushing the thin hands trifecta of Top Sirloin, Excuse Station and Pente. Sweeeeeet.
Driving south, had to stop at Goblin Valley State Park. Goblins!
I got a snicker from this roadside Utah political sign
Frosty bivi outside Bryce Canyon:
Bryce is nyce:
One shot of Zion. I was too sick to get out and hike, so just gaped from the road. Can't wait to go back.
Sunset at Paradise Forks:
Matt from Flagstaff crusing the Dope Lounge at Kelly Canyon, a terrific sandstone bouldering area 5 miles from Flagstaff
We had a fun crew out at Kelly
I headed down to Sedona. Did some fun bouldering at an area called the Anvil Boulders just north of town. Longarm:
did a day of climbing at Queen Creek outside of Phoenix... neat spot! But, had to get back home. Took the senic route up big sur:

My friend! On off balanced rock you tunnel deep into the Chimney and there is a crack going up the inside of it! A secret revealed.

oh man! Thanks for that Jesse. I was up there forever!! I tunneled in a bit, but didn't see anything. I looked up, couldn't see anything for over 30 feet and I was already twenty feet above a crap yellow alien in crumbling Entrada. I looked down, and the chimney was 4' or wider, and I couldn't see the bottom. Yikes!

Awesome, Dave! You're having so much fun right now.
You left out my favorite pic.

Guess how I pulled the roof?
Dave returned after I left to send proudly.
