Sunday I took a picture of a 4 year old climbing with her parents (with their permission), she's so cute! Her parents said she does much better in the gym but really vertical stuff scares her (she was at the bottom of a 5.9 and didn't want to go higher).
My sister has identical twin girls, they are 14 mos old now but they started walking early and already have good balance so maybe I'll be taking them out early too.
I hope to be the cool Auntie ;)

Good to see so many rock-rats. Mine's only 6 months right now, going on trips next year. He's a boy too so I shouldn't be posting in the 'daughter' thread.
Mr Vogel, that girl's facial expression on the 8mile pack-hike is kinda what I look like at that point, it's not happy until ya hit camp.

Museum, as I recall from Verm's 50-state slide show years ago, North Dakota (along with
Louisiana) was one of the two hardest states in which to find anything climbable. Your
photo of the high point doesn't look promising in that regard either (though it's cheerful).
Is there anything worth climbing in North Dakota?

2 months old, first trip to castle rock
3 months old sonora pass bouldering trip
slab workout, culp valley, 1.5 years old
gettin her thang on at the pollen grains
thats munge cranking...
getting some beta at the happy's (where did all my hair go?)
great partners dig the approach, this is mono pass in route to mt starr
alpine style on mt starr
stoked for her first summit
daddy daughter summit shot
white mtn summit, first 14er. those little legs friggin powered all day!

My girls are 16 and 17 now. They have done a few climbs here and there over the years but never got into it. They do love road trips though. First one was Red Rocks then J Tree about 11 years ago. They jumped out of the van at Red Rocks, ran around, then said "This can't be a desert there is too much vegetation!"
That was a real eye opener that desert can be much more than Sahara dunes.
Wait till your family trips evolve into raving at Burning Man!

Truer words never spoken.
The relationship we have climbing with our daughters- (children) is strengthen to levels never achieved going to a swim meet , ( fill in the blank) or dropping them off at the mall.
The joy I have received climbing, Snowboarding and kayaking with my daughters goes far beyond what I thought was possible.
For you younger dads give mom a break take the kids out one on one. The break you give mom is nice. What you gain is priceless.
