I am sorry for airing my beef with you, on ST, about you not calling back when you said you would on those 3 occasions.
I was WRONG and I shouldn't have aired it in public.
I am also sorry to the STers, who had to read my rantings on this Forum.

I'm sorry for making you hike yesterday all the way out to that crag in the Wonderland, and forcing you to climb 5.9 and 5.10 climbs in the hot sun........,and then not having cold beers in the car when we got back to the parking lot;....will you ever forgive me?...(I hope so...)....You climb well too.....for someone in their mid-50's that is..........I promise this won't happen again for at least 14 days.......(I can't climb next week-end...).......

If I may ask a grace with this post: Just wanted to say hello Lynne. This may take you back to "the day": I'm just remembering you from a time in Josh - was it Sail Away where you jammed your hand so good in that short but fine crack climb - where those so good jams found you having to leave your beloved's ring behind :) I was that long haired blond fella on lead behind your group who rescued your ring, and most humbly returned to his betrothed. I also fondly remember Dan from days climbing at the Pirates Cove, Heart Park, Mt. Rubidoux - of course Josh and Humber Park days as well. Dan and I knew each other from our health care careers - back when he was a pharmacist, and I as a EE project manager w Siemens taking way too much time away from climbing to bring MRI to Southern California and the world at large. Leavitt, one climb was perfect commemorating some really special days on the "planning commission" thanks bro !
And Halfhitch.... what an incredible blessing and flash from the past ! Ya, you gentleman and scholar you did save the day on one of the few climbs I did BITD with Maria and Lurleen.
I'm kinda on a Mecca thing now. Am actually climbing and looking to climb and enjoying it. Tribute to Danny .... bringing back the past in a really good way....I don't know all the why's and the wherefors but it's working. Thanks for the sweet memory I had totally forgotten.

hey there lynne... say, a good sense of rythym (hhmmm, but not how to spell it) DOES help, but is not always needed (depending on why and when one wants to play)...
*can teach you finger cymbles, and castanets, too...
(if you like clacking and ringing... )
well:
1--two matching spoons, of equal size (almost any type will do)...
2--where and how to bend them, or they won't work too proper...
3--or, you can opt to buy some pre-fixed spoons, that are fastened together, (make less mistakes that way, but lose-out, in the "challenge" of it all)...
4--some practiced-hand-skills, at being not to tight, and not too loose, with silverware...
5--a little sense of humor... :)
6--determination...
7--a good shot of whisky, or two... (ONLY optional, NEVER needed, and, yes, a glass of wine will do)... (course, if your guest are "happy" you'll "sound" better)... :)
8--practice, and perhaps more practice...
9--some good songs, and a variety, if you want your skills to grow... johnny cash, is good for starters...
*say, i can teach you some tahitian dancing, as well, or a few other kinds, too... :)
we got to keep in shape you know, for all that trail-walking, or in your case, climing...
thanks for the fun, all...
now, grab some spoons, lynne...
say, thick colored-plasitc handled ones, work good for beginners, as you it helps you hold them proper, without needing to bend them, or cramp your hand to much...

What a great day we had Sunday. Todd brought together a really eclectic and Fun group of people !
Chris2, No that would be someone else. BITD we had some high powered belayers (right sketchy) so my job was cheerleader and feeding the troops at the base. We had a brown and white van for kiddos and friends.
(braces off in 4 plus months and counting, yehaw)

i think this and all venues need an ongoing confessional. as i got kicked out of 3 catholic grade schools and ended up in catholic reform school -- this is precisely the gig i've been looking for.

Lynne;....I want to public air this out;.....I stepped on a bolt once...(or twice)...and I've even put my finger through the hanger to rest. I've done new routes and not pulled the rope for the red point too....many times....(I'm not proud of this....)...I've driven over the speed limit, and I inhaled in college. I climbed at Cochise Stronghold one day before the bird of prey closure was over, and I've stayed in Yosemite Park more than 2 weeks a year. Have exceeded the 2 car limit on campsites, and haven't always respected "quiet hours" while camping. I've drilled a bat hole and stood in aiders before because I was too tired and scared to stand drill. I have called in sick to work when I really went climbing. For all these sins, dear Lynne, I am truly sorry.......please forgive me......so I can get on with my life.....your friend,...Todd Gordon

locker, you will not believe this, nah, maybe you will BUT....Lynnie won the lipsync contest on Lloyd Thaxton's Dance Show on TV BITD ..... guess what the song was....another Julie Andrews. Supercalifragilisticexpaldocious.
Not one of the other sufer dudes or dudettes even knew the song. I was 18, senior in high school at that time and the oldest of 7 children. Sang it to them baby and it payed off long term. Hehehe. lrl

How I got here tonight I do not know. Surfing I guess. But reading this was awesome. Missing the campfire we had once upon a time here on the Taco.
You all who helped me make my transition from grief to life, Huge Thanks. Loving life today and making the new one, lynne's life part two, really count.

Lynne, I'm sorry We bought so many drinks that night in Santa Monica after the Patagonia book signing that you had to walk back with Bridwell, Yerian and me bouncing off building walls to get back to your place for the evening.....well no really I'm not...it was so fun AND funny watching and listening to you!!! Another fun and memorable time with you and the "boys"!

How did you know I need siding done?
You are a large part of the remaking of lynne's life part II and Fonda and the Yerian. Climbers rock....:) get it? hehe
