what's (hehe)

must be under 40, product of the enlightened scholastic regime which took place in the U.S. when PC was cresting.

Edit: Just having fun. You got it right in the Thread title. Just not in your post. Peace, Lynnie.

Edit ps: You're a good sport Dude I like your question. I'd rather talk skiing.

Worst is irrelevant.

Best is ski mountaineering.

Skiing is for people who can't go climbing, like greenies stuck in those mtn burgs for the duration, say.

Some of us are post fidy with stronger shoulders than knees. Skiing has it's (very cool) moments, but is largely irrelevant.

how to remove tongue from cheek? though I mean it.

irrelevant?
hard to argue with certain types of logic, like the people saying the world was formed 5000 years ago and dinosaurs were around at the same time as people.
east side underground you should try telemarktips.com forum, much better than this site for info and bc talk.

Nah, Jaybro, on this I will disagree for now. My bucket list has downhill and Nordic skiing on it for this winter. Skiing is fun and fun needs to be disseminated .... looking for fun in all the right places...yah !!! Lynnie

Lynne, skiing rocks! I love skiing! It's just not climbing...

One winter when I lived in Vail, I skied 60 days, my personnel high point, and still hit Indian Creek almost every day off (at least 2x times my ski days for that whole year, including an early repeat of a .13 o-dub (belly)). Only early parenthood made me settle for 60 days or less climbing in a year.

These days I live at 72' above sea level, I'd have to drive past climbing to get to skiing, the choice is clear.

BTW, only Tele (downhill and tour/mtnering) and skate for me. None of that heel-lock nonsense, since '84!

But, in any case, deseminate the fun, for sure! That's what the whole point is! Not meant in a fun=hedonsistic kind of way.

political threads fer sure.

just say no to FoPo* on the ToPo

say it loud, say it strong! I climb, and I'm wrong!

*FoPo is Paris talk** for Foreign Policy apparently

**Paris talk as in Paris Hilton, not the capital that was given away by what would soon come to be know as the Vichy Gov't in France. Is history political?

One of my best days ever was in Bend Oregon, when I snowboarded in 10" of freshies a mid-week morning, then drove out to Smith Rock and climbed in shorts and a t-shirt in the dihedrals in the afternoon. And to top off a perfect day, had a few pints at the Deschutes Brewery and walked the 4 blocks home.

Bliss.

Snowboarding is better than skiing, although it's a bit harder too, especially the falls.

What's worse is the spelling errors in this post...

But political threads would be the problem.... At least we can have a possible ski-photo TR or something....
