Does anyone sell swami's anymore? I've been using a padded waistbelt by Metolius often but its got gear loops and is a little bulky. I'd like to try something more simple, don't always need adjustable leg loops and a full strength haul loop for a day out.prolly will nuke the thread in a day or so :D hehe

Neptune's still sells it.

Used to love climbing in a just a swami, still do

I recall using seat belt webbing - also the legendary Tiger's Web.
By the way, do I have the last remaining chunks of this stuff on the entire planet?

I got a 1984 REI harness that will take the skin of your legs quicker than a cheeze grater.

I think it cost $5.95, and worth every Lehman.

I also have some tree ladders.

Does anybody use those?
Way cool.

I thought climbers had gone all pussy when we moved from wraps of 1/4" goldline to 1" tubular. Who needs two inch stuff.

Actually I still use 1" wrap-a-swami for alpine climbing sometimes. It weighs less than a harness and if you need to do a long off route bail you've got lots of webbing to work with. ha
