The killer whales off the coast of Seattle are so full of industrial toxins, they are treated as hazardous waste when they die. And die they are in unprescidented numbers. The pods are families who stay with their parents for 50 years or more. They socialize with other pods, but the family unit stays together for decades.
The salmon are disappearing and fishing has been curtailed.
Drill baby drill, who is watching the planet? Where is this waste coming from? Does anyone care?

Sadly, we know the answers already. And that the bell tolls not just for wildlife but for people, as we chant "Drill baby drill."
