No.
We don't climb, not like this.

And we're still in total shock from that kid free soloing Half Cap, or El Dome or whatever it was...

See, your question is really very stupid.

"Do you guys actually climb?" has NOTHING to do with Sharma climbing something really really hard.

Actually, Who gives a fvck what someone else climbs? Is that what climbing is about for you?

Then I think you are missing the whole fvcking point of climbing.

Maybe you should go climb for YOURSELF, and forget about magazines, utube, the internet climbing forums, and all that other crap.

Did I make that clear enough, or do you need a hint?

Very impressive. My brother saw sharmasama climb at the SF Xgames. He was inspired.

Subsequently, my brother and I climbed Cathedral Peak and a few pitches of the South Face of Washington Column. I still enjoy the memories, and probably wouldn't have them if my bro's interest in climbing wasn't sparked.

best to all those involved

when can we get little graphic avatars under our username? I got jealous looking at Chris' cool supertopo logo beneath his name.

And anything over 5.12 is outside my realm of comprehension. Is it infinity or infinity plus one? Cool stuff even if I'm not worthy to properly appreciate the achievement :)

I climbed just this morning. Out of bed, then over to get a cup of joe.

Ran into Chris in SCruz late August. Surprisingly, he looked relaxed.

Way to go Bro...

Sounds like someone should take their own advice.

Nice!

I'm wondering what happens when Sharma slows down/retires. He's seriously pushing the limits and has been for a while, but no one seems to be pushing his. Just seems he is leaps above the rest of the world's hardest climbers.

What happens when Sharma retires? Speaking tour, and or working with kids, which he does every summer. His charity makes it possible for disadvantaged kids to go to climbing camp. Chris will be successful at whatever he does.

Wasn't really talking about Chris, himself. He'll be fine. He'll be busy with the types of things you've mentioned and he's certainly made enough $$$ already to not have much to worry about.

I'm more talking about the fact that there just isn't anyone nearly as strong or talented as Chris, to date. Plenty of super strong and talented folks, but he's just in a another realm, really.

HEy Tahoe climber, I see yo uare still a mega dipsh!t, glad nothign has changed for you.

AS a matter of fact, last weekend, My good pal Stegg, the lovely muppet girl from LA, and myself went to Laurel Knob and Big Green.

A good time was had by all, even if climbing NC 9+ for 150 feet feels like dying for me now, LOL.

BTW, you can see Mr. Steg belaying Wayne on a route at LK, in the most recent issue of Alpinist, and a few of my other friends in the same article, since you seem to care about such things. I sure don't.

The muppet will be writing a trip report as soon as I post my pics to Pbucket, and I can get Shannon's pics for her.

But I suggest that a visit to LK and BG, and climbing there, would be a MUCH better idea that reading a trip report.

Seems to be a bug in the code, actually... If you try a few times you should be able to get it. It makes itself pretty apparent...

edit: seems I broke it again... Once I get it completely figured out, I'll post up.
