Directed here by a guy named ding,
I thought I'd come on down and give it a fling.

Wence I got here I quickly discovered,
that this was a climber's forum like no other.

At first you just see a lot of political chatter,
and a few like me who like to spray splatter.

You have OUCH with his photoshop tricks,
N Doctor Ed who from the depths of the universe gets his kicks.

You have the political right wing muttering it's oaths,
and the liberal left all chanting their loathes.

This is an amazing place of speaking your mind,
and sometimes getting kicked out of line.

Like any internet community you have to deal,
with all the dweebs like me that love to schpiel.

But this a place unique to modern climbing,
it's so much more than just a cosmic timing.

Here @ the Taco we have a crowd so diverse,
it covers the scope of the climbing universe.

The Taco is a special place where we get to play out,
all the memories, dreams and attitudes that we love to tout.

There are many here that get lionized,
and a few you might think have been ionized.

While some claim to be stalked, others mocked,
inexorably we all feel the ticking of the clock.

Like living in Vegas and seeing these bands,
that you long thought had vanished from all the lands.

The taco like Mount Olympus holds
The throne room to my God's of old.

Of ancient legends I've heard them talk,
these are the men and women that have walked the walk.

Some of the material that gets bantered back and forth,
is to climbing development of the greatest import.

Not to say that it's all about BITD,
we have young people with great stuff to say.

New developments on crag's 'This and That'
and old farts like Doug acting like a brat.

Sorry DR, out of jest I had to throw that in,
because I actually hope you go out and do it again.

That project up on the South Face of Half dome was perfect fodder,
for all of us moralists that spray all over the 'Taco' blotter.

So whether you call it an honor or disgrace that's one thing about this place,
SuperTopo forum users think nothing of getting right in your face.

That's because we all hold to a passion be it right or wrong,
hell most of us still remember the 'SuperLong Dong'.

So here's an ode to Chris Mac and all his glory,
I have to thank the man for a place to post this story.

One last story I can't help but adding,
ok go ahead, call it useless padding.

I have young partner who's not very old,
from the gym he came and to sport he was almost completely sold.

Then he went out, placed a few cams and nuts,
with that he discovered "Holy sh#t this takes guts".

Now of history he can't seem to get enough,
he has eyes on the Nose and now thinks he's real tough.

I keep saying "Wading through the muck can be a real bitch",
"but some stories here @ the Taco, man they're just so rich"!
