------------------

Kidding aside.

Many of you these days need glasses to read. Some of you even wear suspenders and haven't seen your feet in ages.

Remember when you were young and experimental.
You would sometimes get a hair cut... You would sometimes even take a bath to see if people would react to you better. You would then get a nick name from your friends and after a while even your mother would use that name...

Well that is youth... Now young people when experimental get tattoos, remove them, pierce private parts, etc. Plus if you are young, you need to find yourself a cool name like P-Diddy, Flavor Flav, etc... (Friends don't give nick names out anymore, too busy on their x-boxes etc.)

S.S./T.R. is just trying to figure out the right one for herself...

Let us help her people! Here are my two suggestions!

fattrad, too bad about your inferiority complex....EMPEROR of Yosemite and SPARTACUS??????

I think Standing Strong did not care for her SS name and changed to t*r.

Hey, a gal's entitled to change her mind....or she'd be a boring gal which t*r SS is obviously not !

Pepper, what a coincidence we both poste support for t*r simultaneously. Stars must be in alignment for her. Call me, I tried to call you several...but your mail was full.

In reply to the original post, it is only one person. When she was first on SuperTopo, she was the poetic Tuolumne*Rainbow (tuolumne*rainbow?). For some reason that identity stopped working, so she became Standing Strong (= SS). Eventually she persuaded the masters (and mistresses) of the universe to relent, and she recently once again became t*r.

She livens the place up, and rarely posts to political or religious threads, which is more than some of us can say. Is that all perfectly clear?

Cool, so let's rock..go t*r. I love the word Tuolumne...almost named our last son Tuolumne or Merced. It was the Vally era of our lives.....he turned out to be a Seth....wish I would have stuck by Tuolumne.

But our dear fun T*R discovered an awful truth - she could not edit her profile to change her name. ***

But rather than simply create a new name after discovering her mistake,
she went on to make over 5500 posts with her name spelled that way...

Since about 98% of everybody here posts anonymously, who cares whether TR has changed her username a few times? You people are weird. Someone please tell me the difference between someone who has posted anonymously forever and someone who decides at some point to go anonymous...or someone who changes their username for the heck of it?

DMT, you are the LAST person to be trying to wax eloquent on the subject of people using different usernames. You still haven't answered the question I asked you a few days ago about your true identity...and I know I won't get a straight answer from the vile, vindictive Dr. Schitt.

Again, Wow. Thanks for the clarification.

As for you, Blinny, you outed me. Your Groucho Marx quote, "Time flies like an Arrow, fruit flies like a banana." is my signature line on Gunks.com. I post with a different user name there. My first post on supertopo was in regards to tuolumne climbing a few years ago. I didn't expect to stick around, so I used a different username.
But you people are all so crazy. So I stayed.

Well Abe, it's good that you are confused, cause good old t*r is absolutely confused AND confusing.

She can be vapid, mindless, annoying, insightful, decent and helpful all at the same time.

Go figure.

Now Jody, aka Flashlight et al, you got it wrong. DMT is not Dr.Schitt. He's Dingbat Milkturd, when he's bad, and Dingus Milquetoast when he's good.

See, that's how you deal with user names when they annoy you-- change em to something more fitting that happens to be a play on their chosen name.

A little juvenile name calling, especially if it's clever, is liberating. People who can't figure that out are rigid, PC morons, who can't deal with the issues, so they go all -, 'BOO-HOO you're calling me names and cursing, that's not fair', as they continue to lie, cheat and steal, among other things.

See how it works?

Lynne,
I used to get lost when the kids started throwing the alphabet soup around. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't remember what IIRC or ROTFL meant. And I kept forgetting the name of that website, too.
Then I realized that I didn't have to remember any of this, because, as the kids kept telling me, GIYF (Google Is Your Friend).
Now, whenever I come across an acronym that doesn't scan, I just punch it into Google, and I'm good to go. (Or, as the kids would say, "I'm GTG".)
Cheers,
