No one can compete with Tami's talent. It's amazing!

Here are a few that I've hacked out while on the road recently.

My first trip climbing in the Desert:

Not climbing, but from a road bike tour we took through Southern Colorado a few weeks ago:

And, this one is inspired from a few young guys we've met on the road recently:

Great stuff Philo & Stich - I especially like the 'crag hag' comic... Here's a classic toon from the 80's from my friend Jonathan, "Girlz"...

I was just wondering why you aren't showing your stuff
in a gallery somewhere--I had really meant it as a compliment.

SteveW I was funnin' ya. I really did take it as a compliment. And thank you very much. I don't really get much time to do serious art any more. Cartooning is a lot of fun. Being a cartoonist on the other hand is really tough. There are more job positions in the NFL or NASA than as a cartoonist. I have been published a fair amount and won a few awards. But mostly it is just a meditative diversion for me. I am honestly tickled paisly that you like my work though. Cheers philo.

Boy I hope L doesn't take offense. I thought it was purrrfect.

I'd say that painting was inspired by the artist cranking the FA of Christine's Dream 5.12

Kind of a double artistic shot - The Canvas Artist documenting The Rock Artist

Never saw this one Phil, is that Christine's animal spirit waiting to ambush you at the top?

No Scott It is me in my spirit form. My nemisis waiting to destroy my hubris. It is a part of a conceptual self portrait. Me in spirit, me in youth and me in old age.

Philo, how about a crusty old climber looking in the mirror and seeing himself as he used to be. Old fart with new gear looking at former young gun with old gear.....just a thought.

Philo- your work is awesome! Say, did you happen to do the JRat shirt that picturd Jerry Garcia belaying a skeleton on Separate Reality? I still have it from back in '87!

I wish some one would scan some old Adventures of Hardman comics. Loved that guy.

These are great, all of you. I used to have a JRat t-shirt that had a white shark eating a surfer in the background. I think it said "Diasastrously Good Gear". Was that yours, Philo? Crimpie, I laughed a lot when I first saw the desert tower cartoon, back in the TR.

I remember a Hardman (I think) cartoon that had a midget handjamming his way up a heinous finger crack, saying it was casual 5.9.

Keep 'em coming, please!

(To the tune of Gilligan's Island)

Just RAP on down and I'll tell a tale
a tale of a frightfull trip.
That started at the ELDO gate
aboard this tiny ship.

The mate was a mighty sailing man.
The Skipper brave I'm sure.
They paddled out the canyon that day
for a three mile tour
a three mile tour.

The river started getting rough.
The paddles soon were lost.
In spite of the brain cell
shared between the crew
the Flounder would be tossed.
The Flounder would be chossed.

The ship set ground upon the shore
of a neighbors back yard deck...
