So Caughtinside and I decided to hit up Temple Crag. Yee haw.
We drove up. We slept at Hardin Flat.
He drove over the pass, stopping to climb something-or-other on Stately Pleasure Dome. Whoope Dee doo.
We drove to Bishop, gassed up, ate a sandwich, bought some crap we didn't have, and made our way to the trailhead. And hiked in.
Here's me with a tube of Burt's Bees: the solution to ALL your chapping/chafing needs.
We found a spot to camp, and proceeded to indulge in some tarpology whilst the weather moved in. After discussing the merits of handjobs we broke out the camera:

We went to sleep, and then woke up.
Then we slogged a bit, and went climbing.
I drank some more coffee... out of a Gatorade bottle:
And was re-energized:
I had to take a crap.
Dave was not amused.
But he got over it by throwing down some devil horns.
And, soon enough, smiling.
I exposed myself to the Sierra massif:
And then got really intimidated by the "4' gap" described in the Supertopo guidebook.
Dave's otherwise photogenic head was outmatched by some really cool granite:
Dave dropped most of my wired stoppers, so I made him tea-bag the remaining two.
We topped out. I think I need my teeth whitened.
We went down. I found some old tat on the one (not quite required) rappel.
And replaced it with fresh, free-range tat.
Then we walked down and drank beer.

The nuts weren't racked on a wiregate when I dropped them, they were on a spirit. Still not sure how it happened, I was just running my mouth while placing one and pow they were gone. Just put Seth's two remaining nuts on that biner.

You may all note that the can of beer is actually PBR Light.

And that's a Ginny Draught, as opposed to Ginny Stout.
Notice to Dirtbaggers, the black Guinness cans have a plastic widget, which adds to the recycling payola, along with ciggy butts, but now were getting into the top secret stuff.

Still got one of those delicious PBR Lights in the fridge that you left. Matt and I did a taste test - we could easily taste the difference compared to original PBR and I think I like the Light version better. It's a bit zingier with hints of oak and apricot, or what ever you are supposed to say with such things.

Good to meet you, too! It was really nice to hear of someone else quitting their "real" job for some irresponsibility, fun, and freedom. We are probably going to be in the North Cascades and Squamish in September. After that, we will probably work our way south to Utah through Montana, Wyoming, etc. We may even head out to W. Virginia, Tennessee, and maybe El Portero Chico. Our plans are pretty loose, to say the least. Keep your eyes peeled for our Tacoma and I will keep my eyes peeled for some random child-molester van? Hopefully you have found some sweet wheels.
