Hope you have a great trip out this way, Chiloe. I gotta fly down to (ugh) Texas for work, so can't make it.

Hey Chiloe,
Sorry I'm gonna miss the picnic in your honor...we're in the airport headed back for the right coast.

But, speaking of Lumpy and Dads...a couple shots from yesterday:

Have fun climbing and gathering!

Pennsylenvy:
(even though you sandbagged me)

It's true, I did grievously sandbag this fellow, on his first climb in the White Mountains last
month. "Take a #3 Friend, and a bit of 5mm sling, you'll be fine" I told him, and trusting me
unwisely, he headed up the crux.

Here's Pennsylenvy on slippery rock 40 feet past his gear, with no hope in sight. Turns out my
recollection was slightly off, we were climbing the wrong route.

Fortunately he climbed well, so it ended OK.

Aaaaawwww dang it, guys....stop sounding like you're gonna have the best party since we liberated ourselves from England!

You've got Spartacus and all his favorite people--almost--and now you've got Crimpie and Dave, too. I'm just jonesing here. It ain't a fair world, is it. (Which is why photos in copious amounts are needed to balance things out.)

SteveW...U no Go 2 FaceLift????? And you're using SCHOOL as an excuse?

Are U Mad? You know you learn better under pressure...nothing like a few days in Yos and you'll be makin' all A's when you return. Guaranteed.

I'm taking the Catwoman suit to FaceLift...just thought you might like to know.....

I've got a few young-Sibley photos somewhere, but that one is another unique fellow --
young Dakers Gowans. And there's a whole story, maybe 3 stories, that goes with that photo.
If Beatrix is there we could really tell it right.

Might have a few newer photos soon. Goatboy and I had a stellar jaunt in Eldo this morning.

Hi Phil,
They want "fires" in their official grills only and there are none up there.
While a stove/portable BBQ may not be a fire, it is probably over the line.
Your call...

and the pallets for the (huge) fire...

and an old couch,

we can just burn it in the morning before we leave!

Lol Raydog that was funny.
But what really peaked the attention of my one remaining brain cell was L saying...
I'm taking the Catwoman suit to FaceLift...just thought you might like to know.....

MEOW!

Haven't done it in a few decades but I just might have to jump the rails to the West Coast.

What SteveW were you absent in high school when they taught "How to Ditch School"?
SteveW are you making it to Spartacusfest?
If so we can dream and commiserate together.
Alas for the Catwoman L.

Snakefoot, Not like Betasso at all. Go to the Original post. Directions are there. Get yourself heading up Flagstaff Road and follow Tarbusters excellent adventure topo.
