Ray sent over the Illustrator file of the replica of the B.A.T. (Basically Absurd Technology) shirt design for printing. Post here if you are interested in one. IF so post up and if there is enough interest I'll ask for paypalpadding.

Add one for me! I wouldn't dare wear out my original, which I got from the man himself.

And remember that sizes have grown, but some of us have not. I used to wear a large in high school. Now I'm about 5 pounds heavier (wet) and I wear medium (roomy) or small. What's up with that?

nah, xl for me, I'm in.

What I meant above was;

There was talk on an older thread of cloning those old JRAT skeleton reality shirts; the design was a send up of the double d leading seperate reality photo as seen in the 'yosemite climber' book, only instead it's a skeleton with a rose headband leading, With Jerry Garcia in the background, belaying. Maybe you weren't in on that talk, anybody wanting to make that one, I'm in and will buy more for xmas presents.

I've now got some contact information for shirts and for printing.

I will purchase the shirts from a separate place than where I get it printed.

If I understand things correctly I can purchase shirts in small batches - a dozen minimum. I need to check to see if they need to be all the same style/color.

It seems most prefer dark. The file Ray sent me is a single color so only one screen needs to be set up.

The shirt in the Ebay auction was blue with black print. Ray has shots of a white shirt with black print. I myself wouldn't mind black with white print.

I guess I'll know once I find out how many shirts of each color I need to order. I'll be ordering sushifest shirts at the same time so there's a good chance we can mix things up.

hey folks this is what the thing looks like,
it should print up exactomundo...
I did this for the home crew here on the ST

anyone who prints 'em deserves a few bucks IMO,
keeping inventory etc etc.

Jaybro - feel free to post the Jrat skeleton thing if you
like, I'll check it out.

Tried to make this re-production as exact like
the original as I could - think Warren would dig it.

It was cool going in and working the thing,
re-painting it in Photoshop, then using Illustrator's
drawing tools to make it so...seemed like the art
"yielded" well, kinda "wanting" to be re-born, haha!

fun stuff for nerds like me :)

for what it's worth, i'm happy to lead the charge on doing these t-shirts. fund raiser or whatever.

the real trick is volume. there is a set up fee and an initial investment fee. so long as i can predict that eventually my costs get covered. i'll probably have to "invest" in a quantity of t-shirts to make the sushifest and B.A.T. shirts happen.

I'll know more monday after I get prices, etc.

I need a new t-shirt collection and I'd love to have some of these old skool designs to sport around.

thanks for the feedback, friends -

it's your appreciation of these type of things
that fuels the motivation...

the Sheridan Anderson comic does seem to fit with the
B.A.T. shirt/logo resurrection - and yes the sample
posted is vectors - it'll print just like it looks
at whatever size needed. Some (a little) of the
detail dropped out, but think it will print well.

The Jardine one was inspired by the idea of including
some old gear (on a shirt) not sure, I'll keep looking.

BTW, anyone have any cool DOLT images?
DOLT gear pics?

Gonna re-shoot what they got at the Neptune
museum, seems a respectful way of honoring
these cats in a manner they'd appreciate.

Harding/Batso - Dolt; what fun subject matter,
appropriate, somehow...

I'm going to start to move this project along.

I'll be counting the names above and contacting them to see if they are still interested. In a couple weeks I'll start asking for funds.

I went $15 on the sushifest shirts.
They ended up running about $12 each plus shipping which was about $2.90 each so I made about 10 cents on each :-).

The single color print might save a few pennies so I might make 22 cents a piece. Maybe if we get about 10 million people interested in can retire.

Here's the scoop on colors/shirt type/size

Correct me if I'm wrong here but the original was black print on blue, yeah?

If so, we'll stick to black print.

Colors, sizes, and shirt type (t's, tanks) can be mixed and matched.

The only real variable is you'll probably want a color that the black will work on (no black/dark dark shirts).

My feeling is the sizes were "standard" - the large ones I have seemed like a normal large size. Any sushifest t-shirt owners out there care to comment?

I'll see if I can post the color options we have (IIRC grey wasn't an option)

right now I have list of 30 shirts and counting. cool.

if anyone wants to start sending over funds email me for an address or you can paypal me: paypal _at_ lafarge _dot_ net

P.S. Blowboarder is right, you can get it printed a lot cheaper. Perhaps $6 for non or $8 for organic. Alice Flomp was Warren's last girlfriend and she took care of him in the end. The above is the matrix I sent to the printer. I've sent them an email asking when they might get these in. I'll update on that when I know.

I have a few emails from folks that asked about shirts but didn't offer sizes or payment. I'm getting to those on the second round (which I'm doing now). So I'm following up the above order with a second one so if you still want one.

This has taken a lot lot longer than I had hoped. There was more coordination than I anticipated. Maybe I should have just done one color. keep bumping this and bugging me. I want to get this done for ya'll and feel bad it's taken this long.
