Mikal Cronin's "Change."

Last week, San Francisco garage-pop craftsman MIkal Cronin unleashed MCII, his SPIN Essential sophomore full-length and one of the best records of the year so far.

Mikal is super talented and also plays with Ty Segal's band.

Music Video just premiered today on Spin (latest music video Directed by my lovely daughter Claire):

I was at the Kickstarter website for the El Cap movie we helped to push to completion….

I had finished what I need to with the El Cap video andy thought "Hey, let me check around at the other kickstarters out there"…

Stumbled on one that really struck me. It's already completed with funding so this is not a prod for donations..

This is wild, and deep.

Virtual Choir

Strangely bad ass stuff (in my view)

Singing for the first 5 minutes, then a 5 minute list of singers in the choir… long list, from all over the world. It's the power of crowd-sourcing that I find appealing most. We all can do really great things together.

Compelling story of the dude who's brain this stems from… and really great finished product.

I think of the individuals who sang this tune, alone in their bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways… all alone, but when pulled together forming a unit of boundless sound.

Amazing

...
...
'Fools', said I, 'you do not know,
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I may teach you
Take my arms that I may reach you'
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence.

And the people bowed and prayed,
To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In the words that it was forming.
'The words of the prophets
Are written on a subway walls
And the tenement halls'
And whispered in the sounds of silence
