Wes Montgomery

Montgomery had such a sweet style. For one thing no one could play octaves like he could, and no one could get that tone- so effortless and so natural. A master.

"I'm as good a singer as Caruso. Have you ever heard me sing? You have to listen closely but I hit all the notes. And I can hold my breath three times as long as Caruso if I want to".

This fellow is pretty good. Someone oughta put together a post of others doing this song, I know I've heard it before.

Young Mannish Boy

Anybody got this? Can't find any trace of it. Did find this one.

Professor Longhair - The Primo Collection 2 CD Set 8.75 Professor Longhair was a crucial influence on Fats Domino and Allen Toussaint among many others, as his irresistibly infectious piano playing perfectly echoed the spirit of his native New Orleans.

Uh, tam bien, this fellow.

Thanks Tobia

The Queen of England no less. Still trying to find that harmonica CD, gonna have to dig deep on this one. I had never heard or seen that James Cotton performance. Mind boggling to me.

Can't seem to find any instance of James Cotton and Ry Cooder. That would be something.

I'm just listening to more Prince Buster right now.
