A cohort of my wife has a diabetic hubbie. A year ago they got a diabetes
doggie. He has alerted any number of times in the last year but the other
day he alerted, then he started whining and getting ALL WORKED UP! Then he
started barking furiously like, "Look, you stoopid humans, I'm not doing
this for MY health, you know!" I guess her hubbie had already started going
into shock so he just continued to sit there. Luckily, his wife was elsewhere
in the house and heard the commotion and came running. It took them TWO
HOURS to get his blood sugar stabilized and she's a doctor!
DOGGIES ROOL! What can't they do?

hey there say, all... awwww... i always love the dogs here...
oh my, and edge's dog, alone now... :(
but, thankful that one is still there to be loved, by your family...
note:
we will never know if my dear auntie died falling through the ice,
as to her own reason, or--if she was out there to save her dog...
dog HAD gone out on ice before... but, so had she, to work
on the pond, during winters, :(
we will never know why, but she was known to have saved a previous dog, once... the year she died though, sadly:
we will never know what happened...
they found her late into the night, after dredging etc...
(when someone came to pick her up for a birthday party, and she was not there... only the new little dog, that have been barking continually for
a few hours, according to far-off neighbors) ...
i love you, dear auntie...
(just in case, take care, when you do rescue beloved pupdogs)...

So many great pups here. I've got some sad news. Our lovely hound Django has got the big C. I know everyone here understands what we're going through. He's doing well right now, but we're looking at weeks, maybe less. The tumor is really fast growing. Sorry to bring people down, but I---well, just crap. He's been our solid, constant, happy companion for 12 yrs (he was between 1 and 2 when we got him), and our lives have been so much better for it. Viva Django!
