Damn, zBrown's Hagerman Pass photo sent me unexpectedly way way back ...
to 1975 when we were young, and I balanced my camera on a rock to take this shot at Hagerman Peak. That's me and Leslie on the right, with our four-footed friend Fred.

More about our local coyote issues: we learn that neighbors had been feeding more than a dozen feral cats, but no longer are. That sounds like bad news for our local birds. We talked this over while watching three pairs of cardinals and a couple of blue jays flit outside our window.

But coyotes were howling a hundred yards from our house the other night. Sophie barked back, then decided she wanted to go indoors. We wonder whether the local coyotes might take an interest in the feral cat problem.

I keep looking over this 2000+ string and I never see an American Pit Bull Terrier among all the mutts photographed here. Don't climbers own Pitties? I know that Michael Donovan has a nice one, but doesn't anyone else have a nice Pit Bull to show off?
