No, Larry, it's just the sit-start that's currently unavailable.

The best companion you can have for a weekend in Mammoth. He loves snow, enjoys hiking, packs small and eats left overs. What more can you ask for? Plus he comes along with a fantastic family.

Unfortunately the old osteoarthritis is catching up with old old Stella pretty hard, so a lot of the time she has to stay home when we go climbing - but Rocky gets to go out!

Aya, where are you finding all that snow-free granite?

It's windy and cold here today but you can tell spring's on the way.

Chiloe - it's not granite - it's... well, whatever the dacks are made of (but I know it's not Granite). That's the Spider's Web. Southwest facing so catches tons of sun. Climbed three days there last week (in tank top!) and watched people climbing at Chapel Pond across the way the whole time!

ps Esthesia, on the dihedral that's in the arete on the left there, is a mega classic arete climb!!!

I've noticed that a fair number of outdoorsy dogs have bandannas tied around their necks, in place of or sometimes in addition to collars. I was wondering why?
