It's pretty cool. Granted, there are some problems with climbers not understanding English, and Park Rules, but for the most part, it's alot of fun. I just spent some time there for the first time in a while, and met friends from: Belgum, Czech Republic, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Taiwan, Canada, and Tyrol.

A friend of mine commented that it's funny how all the foreigners come to Camp 4, and all the Americans go to Tuoloumne. It makes sense though. If you have limited time and money, go climb the big stone. If you can come back fairly often, then go climb great routes without the crowds, and pick your climbs in the Valley.

Plus, I heard alot of foreigners comment about how the media gives one impression about Americans (which is not good), and then when they come here, they find that this is not at all the case, and actually make great friends. I think that is really cool.

Does anybody else share this sentiment, or is it just me?

Yep many good days in C4 and lets you appreciate other people and their cultures. Had a Russian friend in camp with me once and he was having conversations in 4 different languages mostly at the same time. I can't even speak 2 and he's talking to a Japanese, German, Italian and Russian (and me)I was amazed!

Merely "International"?

C4 is an international meeting place for all manner of genii.

I guess the physicists are the ones I most remember, but C4, on a good day, is like a Summit of the Best Minds.

All manner of conversations regarding a state-of-the-art can be found, and entered into.
