With the success and breadth of the posts about Valley nick-names, I got out my book of "separated at birth" comparisons culled from some down time in Bishop a few years back. The project started when a friend and I started playing "Who'd ya rather do? Ginger or Mary Ann?" We quickly ran out of ladies, then we started thinking of really grim pairings of guys and gals (the woman from the 80s band Romeo Void or Rodney Bingenheimer.) Anyhow, that morphed into the following list. Note: this takes both knowledge of pop culture and more-or-less well known climbers. Add at will:

uh, dunno. but erikson's climbed an 8000m peak and holmes's had (at least) 8000 partners...
i think the "middendorf/k.d.lange" may have been the impetus for it all. either way it's a rough ride...
the aforementioned clark "forcep head" cordless got so psyched by the project that he holed up on a couch at a house party i had, and wouldn't let anyone near him or the book for hours! true story. anyhow, the photos/slides are even better than the written description.

The other porn connection would actually be John Wayne Bobbit, who did a terrible little flic--with actual suregery footage included--called "FrankenPenis" shortly after having his sewn back on (did I mention they actually show the surgery and augmentation--it comes out like three fists and a tip.) And Ice-T makes an appearance.

Another one, though farther removed and not really involving a climber, but still unavoidable if you live in a ski town with RSN on local cable; Glenn Plake (Mohawk coiffed skier who laughs a lot)and Bugs Bunny. I'm absolutely certain of this one; I'm into old cartoons and even channel Mel Blanc,still, I have never seen Glenn and Bugs together.

But since you mentioned him, I've known Cedar since before he climbed. If any of you remember him in his early years he was a festering piece of bloody flesh after almost any climb! If nothing else, I'm glad to know he no longer bleeds ALL over the rock.

Damn, there's some funny sh#t on this thread, especially if you know the folks. For my money, the middendorf/k.d.lange paring is tops. But the Bob Gaines/Jesse Jackson one is also golden. The screwy thing is the physical reference is sometimes secondary to the particular energy the person has - or something equally slippery - and when the comparison is apt you have to laugh.
