When ya tr at woodson half the time yer anchor slings are longer than the climbing cord cuz ya gotta sling a bush on the other side of the boulder and run it over the top (yah i couldnt afford a power drill, so what). Fallin sideways is a bigger risk than fallin downward on over the top anchors, an ive seen ppl fall, disappear around the corner and deck out a couple dozen feet from the base of the climb. Best thing to do is dont fall.

fuk, my puter was bein slow, so i kept punchin enter cuz godammit, and thats the story...Hey, anybody who aint gonna make it cuz they cant climb fer sh#t, i got a game plan - chalk up like a mother f ucker, tape the wrists and walk around with a beer telling lies about sh#t you never did back when, if ya get pinned down by buddies who know better, fake a heart attack or just run. Its worked for me for more n 30 years now - if you SUCK, give it a try.

hint from the experts:
If ya wanna grow up an be big n strong like me, drink more beer

hey Ron, sometimes the Supertopo server is slow in the AM - so it may not be (only) your machine...it's a stellar day here in Boulder - like 70 degrees and warming - have fun everyone!

We'll miss ya Ray.
I spoke with Ron Gomez last night; he was at Mike Paul's house in JT.
Seems the Watusi is likely MIA.

Watusi, great to see again Bro, years can't taint the true friendships. Woodson would've been fun, thanks for calling Roy, how ironic I'm with 'Tusi when yer trying to track down all the scum. The drinks are on you the next time Mike!! Thanks again for the visit!

I had a great time seeing the old crew today. Amazing how much hard stuff got climbed in that heat. Great to see Eppi, and the Almodovar Bros, Tom, Barnett and especially Greg Cameron, who soloed damn near everything including the Bat Crack. Yoav, Kevin, Bob Hutchinson, Scruffy and Amick. And I finally got to meet Beebs and Doug and Roy, to whom I am karmically connected. I had every intention of making the party at Salad's but ArtWalk ended at 6, and by the time we got the paintings down and everything stowed, it was close to 7 and my wife had that glazed-over look you get after talking to people you don't know all day long. So I took her out to eat. Tar, Beebs and Offwhite, I'm excited about the next shindig. Gotta get 'Tus down there too. Oh and thanks to Mike. and Maria (?) for the schwag.

I'm sorry I missed it. The porter had a bad post-op PRK day today and I was playing nurse.

Tusi,
Next time the eastside....(fly)fishing and some bouldering (maybe) if I can get in some kind of shape. Yer "day may be different", but yer still the "same ole' Mike". Maybe get Roy Boy along on one of the "trips". Ya hear Tarbaby???
Peace
