The 2007 Peregrine closures are now in effect. The closures are the same as last year. Everything around the Rostrum is closed; and slacklining at the summit is prohibited. Superslide is open, but everything to the left on the Rhombus Wall is closed. Other closed areas are Fifi buttress, the far east side of Glacier Point, and Kolana Rock and Wapama cliff at Hetch Hetchy.

We've confirmed that the birds are nesting at the Rostrum this year and we are now monitoring the other areas.

PS Jesse is off climbing in Spain; he'll be back in a few weeks.

Thanks Mark. Glad to see you are still plugging away in the ditch. Hope they haven't made you cut your hair yet.

I guess within dump range would be too much to ask for.

Peregrines are the 'city bird' of Chicago...city closes down next week for mating season!

The peregrines reappeared at Squamish about ten days ago. At least, those that nest on the Chief.

I was at the Sunshine wall last weekend and saw peregrine, a golden eagle, but most interesting was a yearling rattler on a ledge, technically in winter (it was in the mid-eighties).
