It seems like yesterday Tom was here with us. Today, it's been a year since his passing. Let's learn from his loss the importance of friendships and how to be kind to each other. Cherish the day, we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Dave Yerian

Yep, it wasn't that long ago that Long Ago was here.
He is now somewhere.
Peace, brother Dave.

You're a good man Dave. Didn't know Tom, but was always in awe.

Thank you for you kind thoughts Dave. Tom was a special person and I have lots of good memories of him, both climbing and family related. For this I'm very grateful!

Early this morning I made coffee and began my quiet time before the day awoke and the life 2019 exacts from us set in. At the top of the "Jesus Always" daily meditation I use was written, Tom Higgins died today. A year already.....crazy how the days fly, especially as you age, watch out young ones.
I thought about Tom. I didn't know him well, but what I knew of him made my heart so very sad today for his absence and for his family and friends that miss him hugely. Yerian and I started a book about 8 years ago we have titled Tuolumne Climber and Dave suggested we contact Tom Higgins and ask him to be our adviser. Tom was the Tuolumne Climber.
Busy as he was, Tom jumped in to give the project his time and talent, encouraging us along the way. We met at Peet's Coffee in Berkeley several times and on so many levels Tom impressed me.
I emailed him the day before he died, or should I say passed on, because I believe he is raging on the peaks of heaven. He explained his pain.
Sure wish you were here Tom. The book is nearly done and I believe you would give your approval. Lynne

Had several calls since this thread was posted. People may not "speak" here, but they remember and wanted me to convey their best wishes to Tom's family. He is remembered.
