Dear climbing community,
I will visit Yosemite National Park on the 27th until the 30th of October with my girlfriend. We will stay at camp 4 and use the days for bouldering and climbing. We both are experienced climbers but don't know the area as it is our first time in Yosemite.
We would love to go on a multi pitch route or explore some sport climbing routes/boulders.
Anybody in the forum keen on catching up during that time, willing to show us some nice climbing spots and maybe take us on a multi pitch?
There is extensive bouldering but limited sport climbing. There are also many trad, shorter cragging areas like the Cookie, Arch Rock and Reed’s Pinnacle.
Yosemite is most noted for (in addition to big walls) it’s quality multi pitch trad routes. They have a broad range of difficulty to suit everyone. If you have trad gear consider doing one yourselves....if not, maybe you should provide a little more information regarding the level of difficulty you and your girlfriend feel comfortable leading and following.
Keep in mind that for most visitors the climbing in the Valley requires an adjustment period.
